Brooklyn will come for this game without Cam Thomas and Ben Simmons. Their available lineup for today will be full of forwards with size and reach, something that could work against Boston’s Tatum and Brown, who normally tend to have favorable matchups in Boston’s games. Brooklyn should be able to switch when Boston’s best players are involved and cause some disruption to Boston’s elite offense.
On the other hand, the Nets will be without Cam Thomas, who has been the team’s best player on offense, and Ben Simmons, who has been looking good while pushing up the pace. So, I expect the team to struggle to score in half court against Boston. The first game between the two teams ended with 238 points but that was with Cam Thomas leading the Nets with 27 points and with Boston playing with two bigs (Porzingis and Horford) as White did not play, something that helped Brooklyn’s small ball offense.

Sacramento is coming from a win over Portland in overtime where they barely showed any progress after a bad stretch of games. Against a shorthanded Blazers team that got even more shorthanded early in the game with Brogdon getting injured, the Kings were unable to be efficient against a bad defensive opponent as they committed 21 turnovers, with Fox’s absence being clearly visible.
Defensively, Sacramento had an easy task against a depleted opponent but I believe they will struggle against Oklahoma City’s drive offense. The Kings struggled last season against this kind of offense and they did not make any kind of upgrade during the offseason to fix this. Oklahoma City is a better team than Sacramento at the moment as the Kings continue to struggle without their star De’Aaron Fox.
