It is very hard for any team to enter an open game (fast pace race) against Golden State and manage to keep up with the rhythm the Warriors impose on their games with their great depth. This is the challenge the Wizards will have in front of them tonight and I don’t expect them to overcome it. Washington is in an awful spot as they faced Miami in the altitude of Mexico City last Saturday night, so they will only have one day between games. The Wizards are full of inexperienced players and while both teams are on top of the league in terms of transition vol%, the difference is on the other hand. While Golden State is #1 on transition defense, Washington has a subpar defense in this area. The freelance Washington offense won’t go well against Golden State’s defense. I would take Golden State even if Curry doesn’t play, but of course if he plays tonight that will be a massive boost for this play.
