The problem for the Hawks was that they were awful especially against the dribble drive penetration. It was a field day for Cleveland’s guards (Sexton and Garland scored a combined of 46 points in a very efficient 21-34 FG. That would have been a huge problem for the Hawks tonight against Giannis, but it seems like Milwaukee’s star player won’t play tonight.
I dug some stats about Milwaukee’s drives to the basket this season per game: Eric Bledsoe 12.0; Giannis Antetokounmpo 11.7; Khris Middleton 4.9; George Hill 4.4. With both Bledsoe and Giannis out tonight, Milwaukee will lack their usual driving ability to would crush Atlanta’s recent bad defense. On the other hand, the Hawks has some offensive firepower and I believe they will be competitive tonight. Hence, I believe a 8 points spread line is too much in here and so, I’ll be taking Atlanta tonight.
