These two teams faced each other on Christmas Day and the Nuggets won by 6 points for a total of 234 points. So basically, the question for today’s matchup is simple: can they do better offensively?

Well, that wasn’t a good spot for Denver at all: they came home after a East coast road trip, with that game being their 3rd game in 4 days with an early start. Unsurprisingly, the Nuggets started slow w/ 53 points in the first half vs. 67 pts in the 2nd half. Despite being 18-18 from the free throw line, Jokic had a terrible shooting game: 4-12 FG & 0-2 3pts.For today’s game, Denver had 2 days off to prepare for it and the Warriors have also made some lineup changes recently as they downsized the lineup. It’s going to be very difficult to defend Jokic without sending extra help and so, I expect Jokic to pick apart the Warriors defense.

On the other hand, GSW offense is coming from b2b games w/ +120 Off. Rtg. With Chris Paul as a starter, the team has now more offensive flow and Curry has returned to be “Curry” again. On that Xmas day, Curry had a terrible shooting performance with 7-21 FG & 3-13 3pts.Despite Curry and Jokic both having terrible offensive games, the game ended up with 234 pts. So, I’m betting that these two teams will score more today with their stars playing better.
