Even though they have been playing without their starting Center Nic Claxton, Brooklyn has been competitive on their games until their last game against Boston where the level of their opponent was just too high. They were able to get away with their lack of size mostly because their opponents during this span of games also lacked an imponent frontcourt but that won’t be the case of Milwaukee as with Lopez and Giannis, the Bucks will have a clear size edge that they will use to create easy looks close to the basket.

The last time Milwaukee faced a team with an undersized frontcourt was against Miami, as the Heat were without Adebayo who was injured. Milwaukee scored 56 points in the paint while shooting 73% FG at the rim. The Bucks are finally starting to hit their outside shots (20-39 3pts against the Knicks) and with such an inside-out edge, this should be too much for Brooklyn to handle.

The Nets’ offense has been creative this season and Milwaukee has struggled a bit. However, the Bucks made some adjustments recently related to Brook Lopez and this had an immediate impact on his game against the Knicks as he had 7 blocks. So, this shouldn’t be Milwaukee’s terrible defense that they showed in the first games of the season anymore.
