Denver is coming from their worst game of the season where their offense was held to just 89 points. They have not been an aggressive team on offense, they had just 10 FT against Minnesota and their pace has been slower than last season’s. However, given their poor performance last game, I expect them to be much more aggressive tonight. Regardless, Minnesota is one of the best defensive teams in the league and they have a rare size in the frontcourt that can frustrate and limit Jokic. Also their size on the wings with McDaniels and Edwards was a tough matchup for Gordon and Murray.
That’s not the case with their opponents for tonight, the Dallas Mavericks. The Texan team doesn’t have a physical frontcourt and their starting Center is a rookie. Their perimeter defense is also way behind the level of Minnesota’s. This should then be a bounce back offensive game for the Nuggets. On the other side, Dallas’s offense is really clicking with their 3pts shots. They are playing with great pace and I expect them to cause problems to a Denver team that is yet to face a really good shooting team like the Mavs.
